Since joining the Singapore Premier League (formerly the S.League) in 2004, our club has been committed to developing young Japanese footballers. In 2018, with the league's approval, we signed Singaporean players for the first time and expanded our mission to include the development of young Singaporean talent.

In 2019, we launched our U-15 team, marking the beginning of a comprehensive player development pathway. We established a clear structure from the Albirex Singapore Football Academy for children through to our U-21 team, laying a strong foundation for youth development.

In 2022, we further expanded our development system by establishing a women's team and forming a partnership with Belgian second-division club K.M.S.K. Deinze. This partnership created a pathway for promising young players to pursue opportunities in Europe. Ilhan Fandi became the first player to make the move to K.M.S.K. Deinze through this initiative.

In May 2023, we partnered with Soccer Services Barcelona, S.L. (Spain) to establish Singapore's first in-house Methodology Department within a football club. Under the leadership of Technical Director Marçal, we introduced the renowned Ekkono Method to enhance player development and raise the overall standard and value of football throughout the club.

Moving forward, we will continue to invest in the development of Singaporean players while building a unique style of football that blends the strengths of both Japanese and Singaporean football—creating the identity of FC Jurong.
